Ecoflow FAQ

Can I connect DELTA together?

Theoretically speaking, you can connect as many DELTAs in serial (but not in parallel) as you want. However, the efficiency of the machines will be seriously compromised (The energy consumption of the inverters grows with the number of the connected machines).

As a result, we do not recommend to connect more than 3 DELTAs in serial, and it is necessary to fully charge every DELTA before you connect them together. Moreover, connecting DELTA in serial will not increase the rated output, but will expand the capacity.

Can I use DELTA to charge my devices while it is charged through the car port?

DELTA can be recharged through your car port and power your devices simultaneously.

Can I charge my DELTA through the DC and AC port at the same time? If so, does DELTA prioritize taking in electricity through the DC (solar) port?

Can RIVER handle high-wattage appliances?

Yes. RIVER can power devices up to 1800W with our proprietary technology, X-Boost. *X-Boost can run devices that require up to 1800W, however, it’s best to test before use. Some 600W-1800W appliances with strict voltage requirements may not function (eg. air compressors).

Can I control RIVER remotely?

Yes. You can control RIVER using your phone. Just link to it in the EcoFlow app to control it from afar.

Can I use solar panels with RIVER?

It can be an emergency power source (EPS), which will have the same result as UPS for most electronics.

Here’s the difference. When your RIVER is plugged into the wall, anything plugged into it gets power from the grid, not its battery. If power from the grid stops, RIVER automatically switches to its battery supply mode within 30 milliseconds.

That means anything connected will not have power for 30 milliseconds, which may mean sensitive electronics like desktop computers and data servers turn off. Test your devices individually to see if they need UPS to stay powered.

Can RIVER be used as an Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS)?

RIVER supports entry-level UPS functionality. Make sure to perform multiple tests to confirm compatibility before connecting devices such as data servers and workstations with RIVER.

Is there a problem with the icon flashing during the upgrade process?

No. The flashing icon only indicates that the component is being upgraded.

Why does the ambient light sometimes go out automatically?

When the screen is off, the light will automatically go off instantly; if you need to use the ambient light continuously, please make sure that your screen standby time has been set to “Never” or select the ambient light to the “Night light” mode.

When storing the solar panels, be careful to fold the solar panels and then put them in the bag with the junction box and wiring harness facing upward.

Troubleshooting

Why does the solar panel have such a low output?

Charging power is affected by the strength and angle of the light.

To increase output power, choose a time of day when the sunlight is strongest (hours around noon), and keep the solar panel positioned 90° to the sun. Try not to use the solar panel on cloudy days or in shaded areas.

What should I do if my solar panel isn’t charging my portable power station?

a. Please note that solar panels must be placed outdoors. They cannot charge a power station if placed indoors without exposure to sunlight.
b. Check whether there is a connection issue and then try again.
c. Confirm whether the input voltage and amperage match the specification of the portable power station. Also check whether the positive and negative terminals are connected in reverse.
d. Check the display for error prompts and resolve the issue accordingly.
e. Third-party cables longer than 3 meters should have a wiring harness with a diameter of 6.5 mm and a wire diameter of 4 mm², otherwise there will be no input power on the display screen.
f. If the solar panel still does not work properly after trying the above steps, connect the portable power station to a car outlet using the XT60 port. Contact after-sales for help and send a video of the steps you have carried out.
